Having skipped travelling in 2010, we had a big year in 2011. This was the year we took an iPad for the first time and started posting to our blog. My second trip for the year was to Canada on a jaunt with two old friends who were keen as I to sample the salmon fishing in British Columbia. We travelled by Air New Zealand from Brisbane to Vancouver return. For much of the time in the remote wilderness we had no Internet connection but as soon as a WiFi connection was available I was able to update the blog from accumulated material on the iPad.

We are senior citizens who live in Noosa, Australia and travel whenever circumstances permit, usually independently but sometimes with a group of close friends. This blog is a simple way to allow us to record our travel experiences for ourselves and to pass on travel tips to others who have expressed an interest. We're armed with a 4th gen iPad (formerly iPad1) which is the tool we use to update the blog as we go.
